I headed to Agoura Hills after lunch (carb loading post coming of course!) and didn't hit much traffic. It was a 45 minute drive from my house to the Expo.
The expo for the race was held at the callabasas community center. I parked on the road so I wouldn't have to deal with parking.
It was a very small expo and advertised is that. I think there were only 10-12 booth total. They will have a second expo at the party tomorrow which will be nice.
I hopped in line for my bib (there are 5 races: kids, 5k, 10k and 2 half marathons) and it took about 10 minutes. It turns out they give you your bib number when you check in which I've never seen before hit it looked like it worked well. From there we got our goodie bags and shirts and that was it!
I won a free spray that's supposed to help with blood flow so I picked that up. Once I really get to try it, I will do a review of it. I also tried some snacks before heading out.
It was nice to go to a small expo and be in and out.
In the goodie bag was flyers and coupons from all of the sponsors. It was nice to have them all in one place instead of being hounded while at the expo.
After the expo, I checked into the hotel and unpacked and watched march madness. I went to the pool (and got super dark!!!) and then relaxed and read magazines and watched more march madness. This is the most relaxing day I've ever had before a race.
Now I'm just waiting for Mallory so we can have dinner and head to bed. 5:50 wake up call will be here before we know it!
Also you will notice from my flat Juliana picture that there is a tear away at the bottom that says PANCAKES. So ready to eat at the after party!
What is your pre race routine?
