However, before I got to this point, I had to pack and pack I did!
I have 2 suitcases I am taking and I don't have to check either of them! I somehow fit it all in-it's a miracle! I did a few new things packing this time that I think worked well.
NEW PACKING TIPS
1. Race outfits
I packed each of them separately
2. start early
I used a Packing App to help me keep track of everything and slowly started gathering it about 3-4 weeks ago (I also went to Dallas and Philly during that time and needed to make sure I did not use stuff I would need) and setting it aside. I also packed all of my race supplies in a bag after Tinkerbell so everything was ready to go-headband, phone case, shot bloks, etc
3. Leaving straight from work
This took coordination but I was able to bring all of my bags of stuff to work
4. Have food prepped and ready
I had to go grocery shopping but I was able to bring a ton of food with me, which is a huge help. I have packed bananas, pears, chia seeds, flax seeds, coconut oil, tea, coffee, oranges, bread and pb for breakfast before races and all of the shot bloks I will need
5. 2 large bags
I usually try to pack everything in one big bag and then have a smaller carry on. This time, so I wouldn't have to pay, I packed a medium size bag and also a duffle bag (which can fit under my seat). It's a lot of stuff but I feel prepared.
6. more running supplies
I bought detergent, fabric softener, face wipes and baby wipes. the washing supplies are for after our runs we can do a load of laundry (much needed!) and the wipes are for after runs, we can wipe down.
WHAT DID I PACK?
SUITCASE
2 running outfits in bags
foam roller and hand roller
basics-underwear, pjs, etc
toiletries
park outfits
running shoes and 2 pairs of park shoes
mylar wraps-incase it's cold
DUFFLE BAG
poncho
toiletries (so they are in the bag and ready to go)--also deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, glasses and contacts
books, kindle, ipods, headphones, timer
chargers

water bottle
umbrella
food: banana, pears, flax seeds, chia seeds, coconut oil, tea, coffee, mug, peanut butter, bread

and that's it! I hopefully once I eat a lot of this food, I will have room to pack souvenirs I plan on buying like a coast to coast shirt, wine glass, and my 3 race shirts. I'll somehow make it work!
Anyone else have a packing routine? When are you leaving for Princess?
