Time for some weekly accountability! I will recapping how I have done on the 4 Well Rules over the last week: Eat Well, Sleep Well, Exercise Well and Be Well. I have decided to link up with Tara of Running n Reading as I love linkups. Make sure to check out the other bloggers there too!

Eat Well
I focused last week on increasing my healthy fat intake along with my veggie intake and I feel like it helped immensely in my prep for my half marathon. I tried and carb loaded but did not get in as much as I was hoping. It did not seem to make a difference as I rocked it!

Sleep Well
Work has been very stressful lately and it reflected in my sleep patterns. I averaged about 7 hours a night which is less than I wanted. My goal is to aim for 8 a night this week !

Exercise Well
Mon: Rest Day
Tues: 2 miles before work
Weds: Weights at the gym
Thurs: 3 miles befor ework (10:30 pace)
Fri: unexpected rest day as I had to be at work early and stay late
Sat: 2 mile shake out run (11:00 min miles)
Sun: Sunset Strip Half Marathon-new PR! (2:13:14)

Core work 5 days a week! Along with new stretches I got from Running Strong
Mon: Rest Day
Tues: 3 miles before work (slow and recovery pace)
Weds: Weights at the gym
Thurs: 3 miles before work
Fri: Rest Day
Sat: Hiking in Denver
Sun: Rest Day

Be Well
  • I officially got my two final papers to rough draft status! Everything is in them, now to just to edit them every day until they are due the last week of April.
  • I PRed my half marathon yesterday, which is insanity because it was hot and hilly. I am ecstatic for my 29 second PR!
  • Visited the Festival of Books, unfortunately it was too hot so we did not stay long.
  • I am going to Denver this week for a mini college reunion with my BFFs! so pumped!

How was your week?

I love Denver! That sounds like fun ... and SUPER CONGRATS on your new PR! Great job sticking with your workout/training schedule the week leading up to your half - sometimes that's the hardest time for me to "follow the rules"! Have a super week!

Nice work on the half PR! And good on the sleeping...no matter how hard I try I can't get 8 on worknights. 7 is probably my average too, although I try for 9-10 on at least one weekend night.

It's so hard to sleep 8 especially when I don't get home from work until 8 or so! I can't just hop into bed as soon as I get

Thanks! I was just there in Sept for a conference so I'm excited to go back and do some new things.
