Hi all! I miss blogging and wanted to pop in for a quick update.
We had movers on Friday and got everything in but the apartment was a disaster. I got up on Saturday and made it my mission to get the kitchen in order since it had the most boxes to sort and then focus on my bathroom. Yesterday we got to the point where there are more things out of boxes than in them which is great! My goal for today is to complete my closet and then organize everything that will go in our desk when we finally get one. And also make some decisions about some picture frames-what to keep and what to get rid of.
So things are going well and it is finally starting to feel like a home to us. I love how much space we have and even though we are living together, it is possible to get away (which will be crucial when I'm back into school and also starting dissertation writing).
So is a basics recap
EAT WELL
I'm proud to say that I ate pretty well during the whole move. I made sure I had food while moving and only ate twice during the move. Every other meal I ate leftovers or cooked something.
Now that we're settled and actually have space in the kitchen, I'm ready to get cooking again!
SLEEP WELL
My sleep has been awful. I was up until 3am on Tuesday night packing my kitchen and then was up until 11 because of class. I had trouble sleeping past 7-I think I was just excited and add that with the moving and unpacking, I have been so exhausted.
My goal for this week is to aim for 8 hours of sleep no matter what. I need to get back into sleeping well.
EXERCISE WELL
Basically last week I just did my weights on Monday and 2 weekday runs. Nothing else but I walked and lifted a ton so I don't feel like I'm losing strength. However my calves are so sore/tight. I'm going to schedule a massage for Wednesday and see if it helps.
I need to get in a long run this week but I'm going wine tasting on Saturday so I need to figure this out. Maybe I will do a long run on Sunday evening? That way I get in a night run practice as well as not have to get up so early on Sunday. We will see.
BE WELL
This has been great! I have enjoyed moving mainly because I have gotten rid of SO MUCH STUFF! I am continuing to purge as I keep unpacking which is great.
This week it is all about getting the apartment organized and unpacked. We still need to get a desk and a tv stand but other than that, I think we are good to go.
Hopefully by the end of the week I will be back to regular blogging. I need to write about the 80s awesome 10k and update my July and August goals along with some other things.
