I used my google map app to figure out how to get to the expo and then followed people that looked like runners and asked people that worked there to direct me. It was in Hall C.
I got in right away, picked up my bib and t shirt and got my pre paid parking ticket and they gave me coupons to use at the outlet mall! Score!
I walked through the expo which was pretty typical of the vendors. They had a lot of booths but I loved that I didn't feel like I was being bothered.
My two stops I wanted were the coconut water as I have never been a fan and wanted to taste it to see if I should have it on the course and also nuun to see what flavors they were offering on course. I loved the coconut water and also love the nuun flavors of strawberry lemonade and fruit punch. I bought 2 of them and also got a free bottle so I could load up on nuun to make sure my stomach likes it. (It does!)
I also bought fuel as I was running low. I bought what I thought was a discount but it was actually the most expensive stand in the whole expo. Oh well. I bought 4 Clif shots for 5 bucks and also the maple bacon gu to try out.
I went to another stand and got 5 more shot blocks for 5 dollars and 5 shot blocks for 10 dollars. I definitely am good through my next few races!
I found a cool race coming up challenging ucla vs Usc benefiting special Olympics. I most likely won't be doing it as I have a race the day before but I passed the info on to my office.
After that, I was pretty much done. The KT tape line was a bit crazy and the giveaways were the same. I used the restroom and got water and headed out to shop!
I had a great time at the outlets:
- I went to Gap and got 8 shirts for 64 bucks
- super cute purple Chucks for 25 dollars
- I got 4 shirts, a dress and a skirt at H&M for 35
I stayed up a bit later than I planned but I caught up on tv, relaxed and taped my leg and stretched and rolled. I got in bed at 9 and set my alarm for 3:20.
