When I started, I would have never dreamed I would run a marathon (let alone run another half after I was so injured when I finished). Since then, I have learned the correct way to train (thanks Jeff Galloway!! and your rundisney training plans), and have cleaned up my diet and feel much better in general.
I run mainly for my insanity. After I had my appendix out and was just sitting in my hospital bed not doing much, I was yearning for a run! My 2 favorite things on the planet: eating and running. Without running, I had low energy and was just sluggish. Once I was allowed to start running again, I felt so much better. I need running to balance out everything else in my life and I love it.
The high from the end of a run is THE BEST. Whether it is a 5k, 10k, half or full, I get the same feeling and I love it. No matter how the run goes, when it is over, I am proud and happy.
So happy National Running Day to everyone!
and the best part of national Running Day: the discounts!!!
Rock n Roll is doing up to 20% off on races. For example the LA Rock n Roll is 65 dollars which is a great deal!
what did I do to celebrate? Register for the Rebel Challenge!!
I also ran 2.2 miles this morning so I can earn a virtual run medal. Once I have it, I will post it on here.
How are you celebrating today?
